Oh the Thinks!

Bombay Bicycle Club - Ivy & Gold

Today is definitely just going to be a casual, sporadic post. I was a bit sick today. I think I had a fever. Either that, or I was sweating in a cold room for no reason.

I found this band per the request of a delightful girl named Melinda. She is wonderful, poised,  intelligent, and has a YouTube channel worth watching. I think she'll be reading this post, but if you go to her channel, you should tell her I say "hello." :]

On a post a few days ago, I absolutely loved Paige's comment:
"If you ever become a popstar, you can pull a Ke$ha and be &llyson."

THIS GOT ME SO EXCITED. Honestly, I want all my username's everywhere to be this. Unfortunately, very few allow an ampersand to be a username. My next banner will definitely have this on it, though. Paige, you genius.

You're all so lovely. I really really wish that Blogger had a better way of comment replying/notifications. Sometimes it's easier to reply in the comments, but then you don't know if they'll ever read them. So then I try referring to it in my next blog, but that gets long and silly, too, because it has nothing to do with the
topic at hand.

Yesterday Lex talked about the Munchkins from Wizard of Oz, and how she hates their butts. Just kidding. Kind of. Anyway, it got me interested, so I looked for munchkin videos on YouTube and came upon this gem. It's an interview of them, 70 years later. They are adorable. One of them had a quote that made me ridiculously happy. This tiny 90 year old woman was asked the question, "You don't feel especially sad to be 90, do you?" To which she replied, "No, I'm having a great time! I don't mind it at all! I thought it would be terrible, but it isn't." If this doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will.

That's all for today! xx

  1. What a coincidence! I found and subscribed to Melissa's channel today, too. She's awesome.

That quote by the 90year old woman makes me happy. So many people I know are afraid of getting old, but I've never felt like that. I think growing old will be a fun experience.

  2. I hate that there isn't a good way to reply to comments because I don't know what to do about that either! And sometimes I just hate to ignore y'all!

Haha, I'm glad you liked your new spelling of your name! I seriously wish there was some crazy symbol for mine, but since there isn't, I make them for others!

  3. I am definitely an &llyson fan. I think you need to trademark that before others beat you to it! =]

And I enjoy your casual and sporadic post; reading it felt soemthing like watching someone else have a good day, which always leaves a warm, bubbly feeling right beneath my heart.

  4. Oh my gosh, Bombay Bicycle Club? My friend loves them & we got to see them over spring break. It was awesome but I've met very few other people who have heard of them. :D

    Haha, I like &llyson. There's not really a sign for a K though...Kend@ll? XD

  5. Hahahahahahahaha I'm glad you looked up Munchkin videos. The one lady is actually adorable. But I don't know, the rest freak me out. Maybe it's the whole "I know what you did last century" thing. I can't look past their past.

  6. I love that song! And I also love how at the end people come in and start dancing while smoking and drinking. Sure sign of a good time.

    &llyson is a genius name!
