4.14 I Exist

Looking back at old pictures,
this is probably one of my favorite candids ever.
Simply because all of our unique, unattractive faces
and awkward dress issues/hand placements. Baha. Ha.

Remember that one time I was pretty sure the U.S. was going to brush over my existence in the census this year? Well, as part of my ninja duties, I have to read the portions of the mass e-mails the University sends out that most people don't read. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to find that our founding fathers have created a country that cares about the students that go to Mankato.
"This month, the U.S. Census Bureau worked with the Department of Residential Life to obtain demographic information about students who live on campus so that you are counted in the census. So, even though you have no forms you have to fill out, you have been counted!"
Yay for existence! (Mom, please alert Father that I wasn't, in fact, neglecting to alert Obama.)
Second portion of awesomeness today. I've been winning things lately. I almost always take all those stupid surveys my college sends me online, because several of them have Barnes and Noble gift cards as incentives to take the time to do the quiz. (It amazes me how many ways you can formulate questions dealing with your consumption of alcohol.) Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised I won a free Jimmy John's sub the other day.
It gets better! A few weeks ago I entered a Tazo Tea Promotional Contest. It was one of those contests you just fill out your name, address, and press submit -- never to hear from it again. However, I was one of 700 people to win three free bottles of Tazo Tea!
These are small feats, I know. But these are day makers, people. Day makers.
I WANT TO READ WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON. My University library will be receiving it just as I leave for summer, and my hometown library won't be receiving it for a while. Sigh. It's debuting at number 3 on the New York Times Bestseller list, people. Stock this book!

I need sugar.

This is a lie.

I need to research a monologue.

Rad: Musical tomorrow.
Unrad: My face issues.

Goodnight, my lovelies. Tomorrow may produce a horrible blog.

xx

  2. Free stuff is fun. I fill out those surveys too, but I've never won anything :(

Also, that book shaped macbook cover in your post from yesterday is pretty awesome.

  3. Yay for winning things! I always fill out those surveys as well, but I've yet to hear back.

And you really need to get a hold of Will Grayson, Will Grayson. Haha. If you would promise to ship it back (and shipping costs aren't more than the actual book), I will ship it to you. It is THAT good!
