April Lacks Coffee

Today was a good day.

Last night I watched the Coachella live stream.

Mumford and Sons were much hairier men than when I saw them live last fall.

But their live performances still give me major goosebumps.

They sang a new song. It's up there. "Lover's Eyes."

I like it.

Today I got a prescription for my ever increasing anxiety problems.

I made the mistake of reading all the side effects/bad experiences people had with it online.

But I really like my doctor.

A lot.

So I'm just going to have a sit down with the man if this doesn't work out.

Because of the fact that my anxiety symptoms have skyrocketed in the last few weeks, I have forced myself to drink less coffee.

Coffee makes it a lot worse.

But, I want coffee.

But, I need to get better.

So, coffee is put on hold.

But, I will be back you tasty, energetic little beast of a beverage.

I enjoyed reading what everyone had to say about the "Interesting" post.
In conclusion:
"Bloom where you're planted." - Allie :]

And as far as this whole book club people seemed to be quite on board for, I shall head it up! I'll take book suggestions in the comments or via e-mail. I'll also work on some schedule of sorts and bring it up with you guys later for tweaks/suggestions/ideas!

  1. I <3 Mumford and Sons! That really sucks about your anxiety. I haatttteeeee anxiety like no other, but mine only bothers me every once in a while when I'm really stressed. My boyfriend gets really bad anxiety, too, and he recently started taking something for it and seeing a councilor and it's helped him a ton. I hope it helps you, too! The scary side effects are very rare, so don't freak yourself out with those. :)

  2. Book club details sound grand. I do not drink coffee, but I think I feel your pain. It's probably how I would feel if people took chocolate away from me.
I have awful anxiety issues as well. Doesn't help that I procrastinate. SUMMA COME FASTA

  3. Mumford and Sons rock! I'm jealous you got to see them live! Maybe try tea? It has caffeine in it, but not as much, and it typically is really relaxing, more so than coffee. Like Abbie said, don't worry about the side effects. It's just legal mumbo jumbo so you don't sue the company saying they never told you that you could get Bubonic Plague from their little pills!

I'll try and think of suggestions for the book club. I'm trying to think of books I want to read, but haven't yet and it's so hard when I'm not in a bookstore or at work.

  4. Excited for the book club! And basically replace the coffee with Mt Dew and I feel your pain. The stress also isn't helping. I NEED MT DEW. But I know it's not helpful in anyway. Sigh.

  6. I'm sorry to hear about your anxiety problems! But I'm glad to hear that you're getting medicine to help!

It must be really nice to have a doctor you trust. I am pretty uncomfortable with all my doctors (of the tooth, eye, and general variety). Probably my own doing.

It pains me to hear you say that you're giving up coffee for awhile, I know how difficult that will be! But...absence makes the heart grow stronger? :)

I'm excited to hear more about the book club! I hope hope hope I can be a part of it. :)

  7. I'm sorry about the anxiety problems. I hope things get back on track soon!

Coffee is great, isn't it? When I'm trying to drink less I just substitute tea, because it has much less caffeine. That way you still get a hot drink without the guilt of coffee.

Not having any coffee in my room helps, because I'm lazy and can never be bothered to walk to the cafe next door.

  8. You seriously look like this girl in my English class. Everytime I come to your blog... I think you're her! haha. Anyway - girlfriend I am like right there with you on the anxiety problems. I stress like there's no tomorrow. I went to a therapist for a little while to try and figure out how to hold my emotions down better, but I understand how hard it can be. I hope things get better :)
